The speaker was dinamic and I liked that we had a challenge - 3 cases of low milk production to solve. Liked that she compared us with detectives because it really is like that, trying to figure out what is happening and what advices to give.

I noticed and really appreciated that when discussing mental health, or other aspects of the postpartum period that can impact any/both parent(s), you referred to "them", acknowledged both parents. I recognize that some parents will be single parents, and this was also a great way to remind us that we are assessing the family unit. In a multi/two parent scenario, any partner is going to be having their own experience, worries, exhaustion, and needing support. AND, the extra fun part of referring to "them", you are also displaying use of non-binary pronouns in the event the case were to be about a single parent. Two great ways you avoided the common mistaken focus 99.9% of the time being solely on the cis-women birthing parent as the sole unit for assessment and support.

Melissa is one of my favorite speakers, I really love the format of her presentations. The case studies always help us dive in to the topic and think outside of the box.

WOW, this is great for me in my practice in the NICU, so many of our moms experience low supply for more reasons than just inconsistent pumping. I truly appreciate you sharing your Pocket Guide and I have already checked our you website. Thank you!

I work primarily with a low supply population but I really appreciated all of the additional education and resources for herbal galactagogues. I also loved Melissa's use of language in her examples of how she would approach certain topics with clients.

I absolutely loved this information and approach to diagnostics. The reiteration of parent breastfeeding goals taken into consideration during the making and implementation of lactation plans was wonderful.

I know a lot already but wanted to learn more about embryologic development and more in-depth individual functional assessment. This course was very clinical and practical, teaching information that can be put to use today to improve assessment skills.

I really appreciated hearing the advice to examine ALL babies - I had noted that I was starting to not know what "normal/functional" looked like and really needed to hear to look in all babies mouths to get the full spectrum - which is what I had started to feel, but hadn't put into words!

I've worked for several years with infants and feeding. It was good to see that I am doing most of the things mentioned in this course, however the detail to which it was explained was really helpful. I love how you thank the baby throughout each session, letting the baby know that they are in charge and have control over their world when they are working with you. So much helpful information on which herbs may be more helpful in certain situations.

I liked the talk about on infant oral assessment and being aware of the different problems that can present and how to look for problems in order to help solve them.

The infant oral assessment session was most interesting today.  I really learned a lot.  The explanation and videos were also very effective.

I struggle in my communication with getting families to understand what I am seeing in my assessments, so this was fabulous as a guide in communicating with caregivers.

I love that your critical thinking skills are so great and look at the whole baby instead of just the mouth!

This was very helpful! I was able to determine where I was doing things correctly and where/how I could improve. I can take what I learned into my practice immediately. [My "A-HA" moment was] that orofacial development (specifically the palate) can be impacted by positioning in utero. To this point I had made the (incorrect) assumption that a high palate automatically meant tongue tie when in fact, it could be related to how much room baby had as they were growing. Assess beyond the frenulum!

I loved it! It's rare I take something and feel like it wasn't a repeat of all the info I knew.

This was a great critical thinking course! It built upon things I already knew related to milk supply, but made me think deeply about multiple ways to create a care plan. It also reminded me that sometimes low milk supply is related to multiple root causes not just one.

I love how she breaks down care plan for each member of the dyad separately and in simple terms so as to not overwhelm. Love Melissa's Courses. She is such a gift to the lactation community.

I loved the wheel visual you added in your slides. It really helped me have a great understanding of the factors at play in low milk supply and I could really resonate with that for one particular client who struggled with low supply despite some changes we made.
