Eat, Play, Move! A class for parents and babies

In this class you and your baby will have the opportunity to learn strategies to support development from the start. You will learn the basics about your baby’s developing motor, cognitive, social emotional and communication skills to help your child build a solid foundation early on from which to explore, play, learn and grow. Best for ages 0-6 mos. Great class for all families. Especially helpful if you feel your baby is often uncomfortable, fussy or has challenges with transitions in their routine. Class size is limited, sign up early!

Class outline:

  • Introductions
  • Goals – What questions and learning objectives do you have?
  • Brief overview of the spectrum of typical development for first three months and beyond (depending of ages of class baby participants)
  • Discussion about sensory, motor, social-emotional, state regulation, and communication
  • Sensory-Motor strategies to support feeding: postural support during feeding, positive oral input, non-nutritive and nutritive sucking, therapeutic tummy time and other positioning strategies to support overall development and feeding skills
  • Discussion about helping babies adapt to transitions within their daily activities
  • Hands-on fun! Massage, tummy time, hands-on activities for parents and babies
  • Question and Answer time
  •  Discussion of related resources

Preparing to Breastfeed: Body, Mind & Soul

Get the best start with breastfeeding! Please join Melissa Cole, IBCLC, RLC for an informational class on how to set yourself up for breastfeeding success. Melissa, a board certified lactation consultant, has spent over a decade supporting families as they work towards their breastfeeding goals. Class topics will include: preparing to breastfeed, what to expect in the early days, milk supply, position/latch, support partners and more! This class is held at various times and locations, see below for options. Expectant parents are invited to come discover and discuss a variety of breastfeeding topics. There will also be time for questions and conversation.  The class is best suited for individuals/couples preparing for the arrival of their baby. The class outline is as follows:


    • Holistically view breastfeeding basics, milk supply and the process of lactation
    • Receive guidance on optimal positioning, latch and reading baby’s signals
    • Learn about how nutrition and dietary issues impact breastfeeding
    • Discuss how birth impacts breastfeeding


    • Enjoy a safe space to share joys, fears and feelings surrounding breastfeeding
    • Discuss expectations and emotional components of breastfeeding
    • Talk about ways partners and others can connect with the breastfed baby


    • Find out about community resources and sources of support
    • Receive affirmations for your breastfeeding journey
    • Make connections with other like-minded parents

Cost: $60 per individual or couple (minimum class size= 3 individuals/couples, max class size 5 individuals/couples)

Drop-In Weight Check Day
Most Every Monday from 10-11:30 am

Is your sweet baby in need of a weight check? Established clients can feel free to swing by during this time to use our scale free of charge and also pick up any needed lactation-related supplies. Note* If you need hands-on help or a consultation, then please schedule a follow-up. This time is just reserved for weight checks and picking up supplies.

On days where there is a major holiday, inclement weather and/or public school closure, please assume the weight check drop-in time will be cancelled.
